Family Literacy Day, celebrated annually on January 27, is a national awareness initiative created by ABC Life Literacy Canada to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. Some PWPSD schools expand the event to include a full week of activities.

At 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, Premier Kenney announced live on the Your Alberta YouTube channel that students will return to in-class instruction on schedule on Monday, January 11, 2021.

All students enrolled in in-school learning will return to classes on Monday, January 11.

Students can only transition to remote learning at designated dates. Three weeks before the start of each term or semester, families should contact their school to request remote learning. Read this story for upcoming deadlines.
